Great location with a view of the river.

Cons: Toilet has a very bad drain smell even after the technician came to fixed the exhaust fan which was not working. It seems not fixed and the smell still there. Very disappointed. I suggest housekeeping should inform the management when they find problems with the room, not wait till guests stay in the room, complain and then fix the problem.

Cons: The main breakfast restaurant had great food, but was a bit noisy and was a generally very hectic environment. I was there at more busier times (~9-9:30 AM).

O Hotel é excelente, bem localizado, em frente ao ICON Siam, com balsa para travessia direta a cada 30 min, o que facilita muito. O quarto é bem espaçoso, limpo, com uma vista linda para o rio. A equipe foi super receptiva, deram mimos de boas vindas, especialmente em razão da nossa lua de mel. Adoramos o café da manhã, certamente o ponto alto! Tinha até sorvete!! Muitas opções orientais e ocidentais e tudo muito gostoso.

The standout feature of this hotel is the staff - they were always charming and very helpful, whatever you asked them. The view over the river was lovely (though sadly no balcony) and we found the public river boats a great way to get to most of the places we wanted to go to. The hotel shuttle boat across to Iconsiam and down to the skytrain was also useful. Great choice at breakfast. Nice outside areas for sitting in and the pools looked good.

Cons: We weren't very impressed by the hotel restaurants - you'd be better to get the shuttle across to Iconsiam if you want something close and easy

The location is perfect and the views across the river wonderful. We did not use the two pools this time but they looked wonderful.

Cons: The rooms are pretty dated. I stayed here almost ten years ago when it felt like a proper five star hotel. When we arrived this time, late at night, we were given a truly awful room - it smelled, it had missing furniture, and the whole bathroom flooded when we had a shower. To give credit to the staff, they did give us a different room which was better but still felt a bit faded. I hope that this lovely hotel will do some investment to get back to the level it should be at.

Great free ferry service across to Iconsiam every half hour (just check times as they have a lunch break so no ferry if that is the time you want to travel). Very helpful concierge organising taxis and looking after our luggage as we checked out early and had a late flight for us. Good to be able to have a shower in the Fitness\pool area after check out before a late evening flight. For seeing sites on the river Sheraton good location as can get free ferry to the pier where the all day ferry left from to with an all day ticket.

Cons: Not anything that we didn't like but rather preferences on location and ease of getting around. We stayed at Bayioke Sky Hotel earlier in our trip and thought we would try another hotel in a different area of Bangkok. In hindsight Bayioke Sky was a better location as able to get BTS to this hotel quicker rather than a taxi (cost about 800 baht from airport or using different forms of public transport). Ended up an hour to get to the Sheraton in a taxi after waiting at the airport in the queue to get ticket allocation for a taxi - which was slow. Also, Bayioke Sky has a lot more markets around the hotel. Had a 15-20 minute walk to Lebau Hotel for the Rooftop Bar and to find a thai restaurant and markets.

Stayed for 4 nights in this quaint property with parents for mom’s birthday and had an amazing time making so many beautiful memories to reminisce. Food was good and quite elaborate buffet if you are not a core vegan or vegetarian. Loved the views from the room which was quite splendid. Another best part was their own complimentary cruise service giving a similar experience in case you are tight on time to go for fancy Chayo phraya river cruises. It has a Seven Eleven close by in case you need to buy local snacks for back home. There are massage parlors and coffee shops too at a stone throw distance. Their medical team was also very attentive and helpful as there was an emergency for which Nannalin came running along with other staff members to provide medical aid. We Can’t thank her enough for prompt response. Lastly, the Restaurant staff were also amazing and helpful always on their toes serving guests. Few names worth mention: Sasicha, Kornkanok, Santiphong, Purichaya, Podsawat (win), Oht and Patjira During our stay there were some fireworks due to an ongoing festival and we could witness it best from room itself when all the cruises queued up in river for same.

One big issue - the hotel blocked 25k THB from my forex card and refund would take a month or so! What world are we living in?

We had a wonderful stay at the Royal Orchid Sheraton Riverside Bangkok and truly enjoyed every aspect of the experience. The location is exceptional, right on the Chao Phraya River, offering amazing views of the river and the iconic malls across the water, especially beautiful at night. The rooms were spacious, comfortable, and well-appointed, with stunning river and iconic mall views. Breakfast was a highlight, with a delicious and fresh buffet offering a wide variety of options. The hotel boat shuttle was incredibly convenient and made commuting to the iconic Siam malls easy and enjoyable. The staff were consistently friendly, attentive, and helpful, making us feel very well looked after. Dinner at the Siam Yacht Club was excellent, the food was delicious, and the live music band provided perfect entertainment after a busy day. A special thank you to the team for the surprise chocolate cake and beautiful bed decoration with fresh flowers for my friend’s birthday, it was a thoughtful touch that made our stay extra memorable.

My experience at the Sheraton Royal Orchid Bangkok was absolutely exceptional from start to finish. The moment I stepped into the grand lobby, I knew I was in for something special. The hotel combines luxury, comfort, and authentic Thai hospitality in a way that makes every guest feel genuinely valued. The riverfront location is unbeatable. Waking up to panoramic views of the Chao Phraya River was breathtaking—especially at sunrise and sunset. The hotel’s private pier made it incredibly easy and enjoyable to access the river taxis, turning every outing into a scenic adventure. My room was beautifully appointed—spacious, spotless, and elegantly decorated with modern touches. The Heavenly Bed lived up to its name, offering an incredibly restful sleep after exploring the city. The floor-to-ceiling windows added a stunning visual highlight to the entire stay. The club lounge was another major highlight, offering gourmet snacks, delicious drinks, and a peaceful atmosphere with jaw-dropping views. The breakfast buffet was superb, featuring a wide variety of international and Thai dishes, all prepared with great care and using fresh ingredients. The staff, especially at the restaurant the Feast during dinner. They were very caring. The ride on the shuttle boat to and from the hotel, always on time.

Cons: Some information was omitted from Booking.com site... I suppose, the hotel Sheraton did not share the info. We were 3 persons on HALF BOARD deal during our stay. In the print out from Booking.com, it was clearly mentioned that " dinner is included in the price". But to our surprise, the manager at the reception refuted this info, saying that dinner is free for only 2 persons and the third person had to pay for his dinner. A very unpleasant situation indeed. It was not a question of money, but the lack of such important information on the website is totally annoying. This should be rectified. Accurate information should be shared by hotel to Booking.com. Secondly, the room is too old fashioned! The furniture are not in good condition.. disappointing The lifts are very very slow!

Having been to Bangkok over several years I found this hotel compared to others, at best, average PROS: river view from rooms, nice garden pool (although at times the diesel fumes from boats can be noxious), sunset drinks at Siam Yacht Club, good breakfast array, Thai Restaurant, responsive staff Cons: rooms are dated and dull (housekeeping failed to to pick up a coffee stained valance prior to our checkin) Outside breakfast area, not enough umbrellas, inside breakfast area lacks personality. We generally stay closer into town which gives you better options for eating beyond the hotel, that was something that was definitely lacking in this area, that’s not the hotels fault. Would I stay here again, no, I like a nice room with modern fixtures and breakfast area that feels like I’m on holidays not in the business cafeteria.

The breakfast selection was impressive, featuring a variety of options from traditional Thai dishes like fried rice, thai noodle bar to Western favorites such as eggs, bacon, and fresh pastries. As a Titanium Elite member, I had access to the Sheraton Club lounge, where I savored expertly crafted cocktails and enjoyed happy hour with a selection of savory snacks and fresh fruit. This is a great hotel! The kids are welcome, the staff friendly and the pools are both beautiful. We enjoyed the shuttle boat bringing the guests to Icon Siam and to the connecting sky train station. If you are going to Bangkok and appreciate a beautiful location and a very good hotel that still makes you feel at home - you don't need to look further. We fully recommend it! There are only two minor points that could be critizised: You cannot eat breakfast outside as you will be attacked by the birds. This is too bad as the view would be great. Another thing is that the buffet gets quite crowded.

The location of the hotel is superb as it is on the bank of the Chao Phraya river. The view we had of the river was beautiful and we could watch the boat traffic run up and down the river. The hotel runs a very convenient shuttle boat between the hotel, Iconsiam shopping mall and Saphan Taksin bridge BTS station. In addition the hotel has several very good restaurants including an amazing Thai restaurant. We really appreciated the two swimming pools, especially the garden pool which is a tranquil place to relax. The Royal Orchid, I think, is one of the few hotels that has a garden along the river. Morning breakfast was very good with a wide selection of continental, cooked western, Thai, East Asian and Indian options.

Cons: There is absolutely nothing to dislike about this hotel. When we visit Bangkok again will be staying here again. Some may find the rooms and bathrooms perhaps a bit out dated but for us this was certainly not a problem at all.

We hosted an accreditation team at the Royal Orchid Sheraton and gave clear instructions verbally and by email that all charges should be billed to our account. Despite this, our guests were repeatedly asked to make payments at check-in and check-out. One guest was even approached at 5:30 a.m. during checkout to settle a bill—this was the second such incident within the group. We were later told the coordinator had “forgotten” to inform the front office. For a 5-star hotel under the Marriott brand, we expected seamless coordination, but these lapses caused our invited guests unnecessary inconvenience and embarrassment. Almost one month has passed with no response or explanation from the hotel.

Ein etwas älteres Hotel in großartiger Lage am Fluß und neben einer Haltestelle für Boote die den Chao Phraya bedienen. Das Zimmer war geräumig, das Bad mot Wanne ebenfalls. Das hoteleigene Boot fährt halbstündlich zu ICONASIA und zur nächsten S-Bahn-Haltestelle. Die zwei pools sind sehr schön gelegen, beim Gartenpool kommt Ferienstimmung auf. Im Zimmer gibt es Kühlschrank, Wasserkocher und Kaffeemaschine. Die Restaurants servieren interessante Gerichte, international oder thailändisch.

Cons: Wir waren auf dieser Reise zwei mal dort, im ersten Zimmer konnte man die Klimaanlage nicht regeln, es war eiskalt. Beim zweiten Besuch war es dann möglich.

All the staff showed great grooming, provided prompt service, and the chef team also deserves praise. After breakfast, we went to take a look at the Thai restaurant, which was closed at that time, but a cleaning staff member kindly opened the door for us and explained everything in detail. Thanks also to the Band Ambassador, Khun Nimit and the housekeeping Manager khun Sooksri who kept our room very clean and responded quickly to any requests.

I chose to stay at Sheraton Riverside a ferry ride across from Iconsiam conference venue mainly because of Marriott Bonvoy. Pleased to be upgraded to a suite from thr cheapest booked room😍. It turned out the view of Chao Phraya was much better from my bedroom, club lounge and ferry pier. A friend told me it was haunted😱. I did recall waking up first time thinking someone slept next to me but it was probably REM sleep. The entrance corridor was dark for first three days! I only realised I forgot to turn on the corridor light. There was also this narrow passageway to wardrobe with a mirror that one could see from the bed😳. The gym was more than adequate for a good workout though old. I did not get to swim as conference was busy. The pool went from 1.2m to 3m, again such depth very unusual in modern hotels. The main buffet breakfast had a big spread of selection but of average quality. I tried club lounge breakfast on last morning, which turned out to be much better, smaller spread, enough of food I like and better quality. Club lounge served a full dinner buffet and sparkling wine with great views of Chao Phraya River It was an old unrenovated hotel but overall I was pleasantly impressed.

The main tourist attractions are either just across of up the river within (20) minutes. I always stay here in BKK. Excellent location, warmly atmosphere and friendly staff. Some rooms have been now renovated, which is giving even more for worth off money. But, but. I don’t understand why old problem is still there. It’s is stated clearly (by hotels own manual) that: “ we kindly ask all our guests to refrain from wearing sportswear, beachwear, bathrobe and slippers. A proper shorts length up to knees is required during your lounge visit”. Instructions are very clear, but some guests are still dressed like being in a beach party. Normally elderly, permanent clients are dressed properly, but some guests are breaking almost all rules, like having aloud mobile discussions or just coming directly from gym. Briefly, this is annoying, because all this seems to be acceptable without doing anything. There would be easy solutions, if there will be will following hotels own manual rules.

We stayed at this hotel on the 25th floor in 1998 and loved it so we were excited to stay again so many years later. The hotel is still wonderful and we enjoyed every minute. We were on the 24th floor room 2434 and it was perfect with stunning views of the river with all the boat traffic up and down . The mall is across the river and is a must see, the view across the river is gorgeous especially at night! . We loved sitting in the open air bar at Siam club in the evening with a drink as the whole river is lit up beautifully by the famous mall, the colorful fountains, the condo bldg and the Hilton. Also the boat traffic is fun to watch up close as they cruise up and down. The rooms are lovely, modern and nicely decorated. The bed is very comfortable., the bathrooms large . Cons: They should consider having a better English speaker on duty at night! Even the duty manager’s English was quite poor. I wanted to report a man who seemed to be a possible thief, but no one could understand me. Several people called me, but because of the language barrier, it wasn’t practical to explain the situation.

Situated on the ChaoPraya River, we were warmly greeted in the lobby. The reservation manager, Yoshida Shigehiro, arranged for an upgraded suite and early access (after a 22-hour flight from Los Angeles). The Sheraton boasts an Olympic-size swimming pool and another pool situated in a secluded garden. A fully-equipped weight room overlooks the pool and the river. We enjoyed breakfast in The Feast, where Kornkanok (Gone) or Chatchawan (Keang) warmly greeted us and escorted us to our table of preference. Chutikan and Nichakan cooked egg-white omelets with no oil or butter and Jaivendra Singh served very crisp bacon (no oil). Vicharn arranged for a diet pepsi. The entire team is excellent, but Warunee (Kob), Surat Chomchoen and Supot Juesuphon were outstanding, making breakfast a delight. The Club Lounge, located on the 27th Floor has a magnificent 180 degree view of Bangkok - from the palace to ICON SIAM to the stately hotels. Kanjana greeted us daily. Kanlayanamit (Noey), Pornchai, Nimit, Yusron, Fah, Pook, Sphinx, Tonhom, Yok and Dada anticipated our needs and desires. The were ably assisted by interns Alka, Phyo, Gel and Cha. Congratulations to Kristian Petersen, the GM, who has assembled and leads this world-class team, which amplifies this excellent accommodations and spectacular venue.

We loved everything about this hotel! It’s perfectly located in the heart of Bangkok, with a breathtaking view of the river — the night view is truly magical. The room was spotless, quiet, and the bed super comfortable. The staff were very attentive and spoke good English. The hotel offers a private boat that crosses directly to Iconsiam Mall, and there’s also a public boat pier nearby to visit the temples. The breakfast buffet was incredible — huge, varied, and with both local and international options for every taste. Highly recommended!

Cons: Honestly, nothing at all. Some reviews mentioned an old or dirty carpet, but that was not our experience — everything looked great. I almost didn’t book because of those comments, and I’m so glad we did! Hopefully, we’ll return one day — it was a wonderful stay.

We stayed in a King Club Suite on the 26th floor (room 2617), which offered stunning views of the river. The location is great — close to shops, and the hotel provides a complimentary shuttle boat across the water to the IconSiam shopping centre (including Sook market). It’s definitely worth visiting for the unique street food (think spiders on sticks and crocodile!) and nearby designer stores. The staff were exceptionally friendly, professional, and helpful. A special mention goes to Nimit, also known as “Mr. A” — the loveliest waiter who truly goes above and beyond for guests. The hotel itself is a little dated and could use some maintenance — we noticed marks on the carpet and walls, and some woodwork damage. While advertised as 5-star, we’d rate it closer to 3. That said, daily housekeeping was very good. The lighting throughout the room was quite dim, even in the bathroom, which made it difficult to do makeup. The magnified mirror lights were also too soft and the area got quite hot. The taps leaked a bit as well. On a positive note, the bed and bedding were absolutely luxurious, and we slept wonderfully. The hotel has two pools, a spa, a gym, and Wi-Fi (though the connection wasn’t the best). Breakfast offered a mix of options, some quite unusual, but we chose the Club package — and it was definitely worth it for the quality food, branded drinks, and cocktails. Dining at the restaurants was on the pricey side. At Giorgio’s, for example, we shared warm bread with butter, had chicken in truffle sauce with lemon jus, and three Bacardi and Cokes — the total came to £80, which didn’t feel worth the cost. Overall, we had a lovely stay and would return — mainly because the staff were truly outstanding. Thank you for making our visit so enjoyable x

Yet another Incredible stay with great service, food & drink and room! My third stay thus year (and not last) at Royal Orchid Sheraton and it was yet again an exceptional experience. I’m a Bonvoy Gold Elite & Club Marriott member so I received an upgrade to a deluxe room with panoramic river views! I also received my “preferred room”. Out front about service; I only experienced super friendly staff throughout my stay!!! Fantastic!!! Again Special “thank you” to Khun ICE from room service who provided fantastic service with a big smile and he is always ready for a little conversation; perfect English as well!! The room is large with floor to ceiling windows and The bed and linen are fresh & crisp with nice pillows. Good TV programs and large safety box. Room amenities are ok but could be a bit more selective for coffee/Tea and toiletries. Bathroom is good with sift towels and good step-in-shower. Housekeeping is doing a very good job and special thanks to Khun Mon who got me a nice chair for the window!!! The restaurants are great! Lobby lounge is very cozy with great happy hours (buy 1 Free 1) in the afternoon! They make very delicious Apero Sprits and the staff are great with special thanks to Khun Hamas, Khun Thirata and Khun Sasima! Siam Yacht Club the river front restaurant is a very beautiful place to chill at the bar and I had a pre-dinner cocktail “delicious Apero Spritz” followed by a Tenderloon steak and my friend had the Boston Lobster! All was fantastic including service by Khun Jiratom, Khun Tanutat and Khun Pasin! A special thanks to Shinpei San the Restaurant Manager who is an amazing host!!! Breakfast buffet was plentiful with huge variety of international foods. Good coffee!!! Seating was available for indoor or outdoor. Special thanks to Khun Gone the Manager, Khun Gone the beautiful hostess and Khun Billy the handsome cook at the pancake station !!! Overall very good experience and good value for money! We stayed at the Sheraton Orchid and honestly had a brilliant time. The hotel is lovely and the staff couldn’t have been nicer. Breakfast was great – loads of choice over the three levels and everything was fresh and tasty. One of the nights we ordered the beef at dinner but didn’t really like it, so we sent it back. The staff handled it really well, gave us a free drink and didn’t charge us. We ordered something else instead which was beautiful. Can’t fault how they dealt with it. A couple of times we had room service which was prompt and equally as delicious. The little boat across the river to the shopping centre was such a nice touch, and the views from our room on the 20th floor were amazing – especially at sunset. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay and would 100% go back.

I've never had to write a review for any of my stays in 15 countries and instead highly recommend places to my friends and family but this is the exception that needs to be made. This is not a 5 star hotel. My stay started out with checking into a non smoking room which absolutely smelled like smoke. First solution when I called down to reception was to send a cleaner. This was not acceptable. As I was leaving the room, I saw a cleaner with a vacuum... Until I went downstairs to physically talk to the front desk, they then changed my room. Kicker is when it came time to shower, the room had two shampoo's and conditioner. No body wash. Sure it was replaced when I called but again out of all the 5 star hotel's I've stayed at, their attention to detail was that of a motel. The rooms are definitely outdated. Not in a cute vintage way but just flat out outdated. I then decided to eat at one of their restaurants, Siam yacht club which was by far one of the worst dining experiences I have ever had. From a service standpoint absolutely terrible. What started off good with being seated and ordering a glass wine, then turned to waiting around for the waitstaff. They were all just standing there and you had to look at them or flag them down to get some sort of service. Things took a turn after I ordered a dish I wanted (waited a while after ordering) to be told they don't have the ingredients... Something in my opinion should be mentioned when you are seated. Especially for a hotel/restaurant of their "caliber". The second dish I ordered was terrible. Didn't even finish it. Went ahead ordered another dish that also wasn't cooked well. At this point I've wasted 1.5 hours at the restaurant and just wanted to get out. Only positives I can even think of is that the views from the room are nice, the lobby and second floor amenities are nice and the shuttle to the mall is convenient. Other than that, I would not say this is a 5 star hotel by anyway. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone and if you are reading this, I'd advise you to find another hotel in the area that is more up to date.

The hotel has a charm about it that some would call dated, it all comes down to personal taste, I like the traditional aesthetic. The staff faultless, helpful and friendly. Many thanks to Mr. Tan on the concierge for helping me take apart a brush to fit in my suitcase, outside his remit, but he was only to happy to help. Housekeeping discreet and efficient and we made full use of the complimentary shuttle boat service. Would I stay again 100% yes. Thanks for making our stay relaxing and comfortable.

I visited the hotel aprox 35 y ago for the first time so i know what it was and what it is. 5 star was long time ago. The river view is still the highlight but the hotel is dated /old/tired and in urgently need of refurbishment if it wants to compete with other marriott properties in bkk. Rooms become horrible with dated and tired furniture and decoration and carpets who had their best time. Only scratched furniture all over the place. The food at feast becoming also poorder where the motto seems to be saving the cost. Food temperatures are not respected. All the dishes who are supposed to be warm are cold even some ice cold and nobody cares especially at breakfast. We stayed for dinner with 17 pers and there was only 1 more small table. Had to inform the staff that the hot dishes where empty as half of the table still had to eat. Could not say that the staff was busy. The menu mentioned lamb leg at carving station but was pre sliced in sauce on the buffet instead not correct at all. Seafood gratin was also not filled up again. And then I will not go more in details here as they know that the attitude of some kitchen staff at the breakfast is very poor against the customer. So the glory days of this hotel are far away and it will take sometime to come back and see if they improve again.

I stayed at the Royal Orchid Sheraton, Bangkok, for a total of 5 nights during September 2025. The hotel has all the facilities, and more, needed for a comfortable and enjoyable visit! The location is superb, on the edge of the Chao Phraya, with wonderful views across the river particularly at night. The hotel has a complimentary shuttle boat that crosses to the Icon Siam, and then further down the river to the Saphan Taksin monorail station. The hotel has a very comfortable and well-appointed Executive Club Lounge which serves a fabulous breakfast, and evening drinks and food. For me, the Executive Club Lounge provision was a highlight! But facilities alone do not make for a truly positive experience. It is the hospitality, kindness, friendship and engagement shown by the excellent, well-trained staff that made my visit most enjoyable and memorable. My deep gratitude to: Front Office Manager: Shigehiro Yoshida Executive Club Lounge: Yusron (superb cocktails!), Sphinx, Nimit, Phyo, Tonhom, Cha, Noey, Oat and Fah Concierge: Nuttapon I may have inadvertently omitted some whom I met, and who helped and assisted me. For that I apologise. A very memorable experience, and I look forward to returning later this year. I highly recommend the Royal Orchid Sheraton, Bangkok, for an enjoyable and relaxing stay.

During Bangkok visits my family and I either stay on the Chao Praya River or on Sukhumvit. During "river" stays we always stay here and have been doing so for several decades (even during the 7 years we lived in BKK when we occasionally treated ourselves to a staycation on the river). The rooms are extremely comfortable with great views of the river and the location is brilliant for so many activities such as visiting Song Wat in China Town, going on a cycle ride with Co Van Kessel or taking a 5 min boat ride to Icon Siam to OD on retail therapy. Best of all are the staff and during this 5 day stay I'd like to sincerely thank Khun Luna on reception for sorting out my room, concierge Khun Bank for advising about the lady tailor to repair some clothes, and the ever-present Khun A in the lounge who is always on hand with a friendly smile. Keep up the great work and thank you for making Royal Orchid Sheraton such a fantastic place to stay in Bangkok. Khob Khun Maa Krap 🙏🙏🙏

The reception team here is amazing! Luna (Guest Service Agent) and Blue (Manager) went above and beyond, making check-in super smooth and welcoming. I was really impressed when I realised I’d left behind some personal skincare and makeup items — housekeeping had collected them, and a BiG Thank You to the housekeeping team as well! Everything was kept safe and handed back to me. Truly amazing service made my stay so much more enjoyable.

I’ve stayed at the Royal Orchid Sheraton Riverview Hotel more than I can count now. Each and every time, I look forward to my trip to the Executive Lounge on the 27th floor. First, “The Views”…. The river at night, with boats lit up for the evening festivities… the water fountain show going off across the river at Icon Siam Mall, and the skyline city lights… Spectacular! The food always is top of the line and with diversity to make for a full meal. The bar service is ready to serve. But the stand out above all else is the individual staff members. There isn’t any that have ever been lacking. But today, it was Mr A and Kanjana who consistently was attentive to me throughout, while I was there for an hour and a half, waiting for my time to go to the airport for my flight out. I appreciate the individualized, personal attention your hotel staff provides. I have options with the multiple Marriott brand hotels in Bangkok. This service is what keeps me coming back to the Royal Orchid.

The chief bartender, Yusron (Yong), is exceptional – attentive, professional, and always welcoming with a warm smile. His service was flawless, and he truly sets the tone for the lounge. Alongside him, Pornchai (Oat), Tuyok, Fah & Phyo deserve the highest praise. Each one of them is a credit to themselves and to the organisation they represent – Marriott Bonvoy. They consistently went above and beyond to ensure every guest was looked after, making the busy and lively evening hours (5pm–8pm) feel effortless and enjoyable. At breakfast, the lovely ladies Nittaya & Kornkanok were outstanding hosts – running tirelessly to serve coffee, ham, eggs 🍳 and avocado 🥑 with genuine care and warmth. Their energy and hospitality each morning were the perfect start to the day. And finally, a superhero mention must go to Kon Shige, who made our holiday complete by kindly arranging a late checkout, allowing us to rest and refresh before our midnight flight ✈️. My expectations were exceeded. I wanted a comfortable landing place for 3 nights after travel from North America to acclimatize before continuing on. The hotel delivered that plus an excellent experience that I did not expect. Everything was easy, staff were wonderful and extremely responsive. It felt like a resort with the lush garden pool, the river view pool, and the proper gym. As others have said, it feels like the old school luxury hotels in the good way - soft and comfortable furnishings, warm feel, not minimalist. The shuttle boat seemed the most luxurious of all the 5 star hotel boats servicing IconSiam. I loved watching the river activity from dawn to late at night. The Thara Thong restaurant was a great experience. The spa is beautiful. The breakfast is extensive and we had fun trying new foods, as well as familiar ones. Room service had a large menu, was fast, properly presented with a rolling table, and the food fresh. The person who wanted western food said the burger was good. There are 2 public ferry stops on either side of the hotel, and we used the public ferry to go to the temples, which was easy and fun. The weather was hot and the AC worked well throughout. It was great value.

Stayed 3 night in August 2025 This hotel is my favorite place when I am in Bangkok. This time we went from Chiang Mai to meet with friends from Hong Kong. We chose to meet and stay here. The service was excellent as always. Khun Tee – Verapong- greeted us off the taxi with big smile. He is the icon of Royal Orchid Sheraton to us. We met him since the Covid time. He has been so helpful and a great example to his team. We arrived in A.M. The check-in counter took care of us with nice location for 2 rooms. Our friends would arrive late p.m. Khun Tee took our luggage off our hands and we were out to see places. The rooms were superb with the river view, very nice and clean. Our belonging was there for us. The problem was one room did not have a relax chair with footrest per room type, we had to ask for it. It would be nice if the hotel makes sure room furniture are there like posted. All the staff were well trained, knew what to do to make our stay wonderful. We had dinner at Tara Thong that came with the package. The people there were very kind and considerate to make our time joyful. Two of us are vegetarians and they arranged to meet our need with pleasure. It was a memorable evening for all of us. The final word is the place was so fulfilling. I will come back anytime I have a chance. And most of all, the people make the stay complete.

Stayed in the Executive Suite river view – wah, super spacious and the view of Chao Phraya + ICONSIAM really steady lah. Daytime peaceful, sunset romantic, and night view also very nice ❤️. The Sheraton Club Lounge on 27th floor also solid – great breakfast, evening cocktails and quiet place to chill or do work. Special thanks to Khun Nimit for the excellent service 👍. For makan, must-try Thara Thong Restaurant – Thai décor, riverside view, plus traditional dance show. Food all sedap, especially the prawns, seabass and mango sticky rice 😋. Location very convenient – free shuttle boat to ICONSIAM & BTS, nearby 1 min walked got 2 x 7-Eleven, 6x massage shops, even Chinatown just 10 mins’ drive. Facilities also good – two swimming pools and 24-hour gym. Overall, really shiok stay – nice view, comfy room, convenient location and yummy food. Next time in Bangkok, confirm come back again lah! ❤️❤️ Kudos to the entire team! Great Thai Hospitality 👍

I had an amazing time here at the Sheraton Royal Orchid Hotel and Towers Riverside. My concierge Mr. A or also know as Khun Nimit A Fender went out of his way to accommodate my stay. I’m so appreciative of all the staffs and many thanks again to Khun Nimit. I will definitely be back on my next trip. Love this hotel!!!!

This property stands out for its lovely location, overlooking the busy Chao Phraya river. It’s true, interiors are a bit worn out and dated but rooms and suites are spacious, facilities adequate with 2 spacious outdoor pools and a well equipped gym, a club lounge on 27 which is well maintained with a wide selection of food dishes and drinks. Available to all guest is the private boat service taking you to the nearest sky train station or the Icon Siam mall located on the opposite riverbank, which runs every 30 mins till 10pm ( priceless service! ). A plus is also the travel desk located on the ground floor which arranges all kind of tours with extremely competent guides. Staff is extremely courteous everywhere and goes above and beyond to satisfy every guest wishes ( ever smiling Thai people ). FYI The chaotic Sukhumvit area is just a 15/20 mins ride by Tuctuc or taxi. Will definitely be back soon!

Cons: Frigo vide. On a déjà fait d’autres 5 étoiles où les boissons proposées dans le frigo étaient gratuites. Ici, rien. Pas assez de communication de la part du personnel sur les horaires du dîner, du petit déjeuner et des infrastructures. Attention au buffet qui se termine à 21 heures.

The view from the room is superb, the Chao Phraya river and direct vie to the Icon Siam. The breakfast spread is good with good choices inclusive the Indian food corner. The boat shuttle service to Icon Siam I think is really a good idea.

Cons: The lobby area is not very lively. Need to introduce some lobby entertainment to attract guests to stay and have coffee and enjoy the evening.

Cons: Hölzerne Verbindungstür zum Nebenzimmer, wo chinesische Familie nachts lautstark Familientreffen abhielt. Hört sich an, als stünden alle um das eigene Bett... Da nutzt dann der ganze schöne Rest nichts. Wir hatten nicht die günstigste Kategorie. Empfehlung: Vor Buchung auf Zimmer ohne solche Türen bestehen.

We had a fantastic stay for three nights here. It was my first time staying at a hotel which had a boat. The boat was such a fun experience and always on time. Then during the stay, it was my son's birthday and the kind people in the lounge made him a vegan cake and sang to him on his birthday. It literally was the nicest thing I have had a hotel do for me. The room was comfortable and the beds are typical Marriott comfortable. Will stay here again 10 out of 10 times.

De locatie. Qua uitzicht over de rivier met zijn tientallen bootjes, valt dit hotel bijna niet te overtreffen. Hetzelfde geldt voor het personeel. Iedereen is zonder uitzondering uitermate vriendelijk.

Cons: Het hotel is echt veel en veel en veel te druk bezet. Dat is door het hele hotel heen zichtbaar. Zo staan er 's-morgens wachtrijen voordat je kunt ontbijten. (Zie meegestuurde foto's). De ontbijtruimte zelf, bestaat daarnaast uit twee ongelijke vloerdelen. Je moet steeds de daartussen gelegen trap gebruiken. Sowieso niet handig en heel lastig voor mensen die slecht ter been zijn. Door de grote drukte moet er worden geimproviseerd en worden mensen dan maar doorgestuurd naar de lobby. Deze hele situatie valt alleen dan te verbeteren door minder kamers te verhuren. Hoewel het hotel over twee zwembaden beschikt, liggen die pal in de zon (schaduw is beter tegen het verbranden) en 1 ervan is slechts per houten trappetje bereikbaar. Verder moet de douche in de kamer worden gebruikt in een relatief klein bad, dus er is geen aparte doucheruimte. Het is een veel te duur hotel. Voor deze overnachtingsprijzen zijn er in de directe omgeving veel voordeligere hotels te vinden.

We stayed 5 nights, 6 days at this hotel with our young children. No regrets!! Very friendly staff. I would like to thank Ms Sjaleya and Mr Ane (breakfast coffee section). Both were very courteous and helpful. Despite rushing to accommodate many other guests at the coffee section, Mr Aanei kindly fulfilled our request for our children. Ms Sjaleya was very caring towards my son when he had knee pain. There are many other staff I would like to thank as well, however we missed their names. Housekeepers, concierge and many others during breakfast. Thank you very much 🙏

Het hotel is op zich prima. Ontbijt is heel uitgebreid en de ligging is ok en voor de shoppers is de ligging heel goed. Ook voor iedereen die wil gaan fietsen met Ko van Kessel (aanrader) dit zit naast het hotel. Ook hier is het personeel heel erg vriendelijk en behulpzaam. 2 grote zwembaden waarvan 1 in de tuin zijn erg fijn en de uitgebreide gym is ook prettig. Ondanks de verouderde kamer de bedden zijn prima.

Cons: De kamers zijn gedateerd. 20 jaar geleden was het waarschijnlijk erg chique maar nu toch wel verouderd. Kamers zijn ruim en schoon en het douchen in het bad is prima maar eigenlijk voor zo'n hotel niet meer 5 sterren waardig.

We (Mana, Papa, and two sons (10 and 14)) had another perfect couple of days here. This was our fourth stay over the past few years, and, as with the other stays, it was perfect! The room was beautiful, with exceptional views. The executive lounge had even better views (from a higher floor), with lovely drinks and food. The breakfast was delicious. The swimming pools were very enjoyable. As before, Mr Nimit was an outstanding host! Strongly recommended. We'll be back!

We had a great stay at this hotel. The location is great and the amenities were perfect for our family. The hotel has a free boat ferry across the river to IconSiam (wonderful mall) and was easy access to everywhere we wanted to go. The staff are so friendly and wonderful! We would definitely stay here again.

This hotel was a great choice. It had all the amenities you ever need…two pools, one with a swim up bar and one suitable for lap swimming, a 24 hr workout facility with free weights, machines and a variety of cardio equipment, a great lounge, and a free shuttle boat across the river to the icon Siam shopping center.

Great stay. Great room overlooking the river. Concierge Lounge is one of the best in Bangkok at all Marriott properties. The staff is very friendly and attentive to whatever you need. Mr A from the staff was awesome and made sure I was taken care of during my previous stay. He was on holiday during this stay but the other staff picked up in his absence. I’d recommend staying here if you’re visiting Bangkok.

I just stayed at this hotel. I like to stay in this property for several reasons. It's ideally located on the river, and what I like most is that it's in a relatively quiet area. One of the pools is surrounded by a beautiful tropical garden. It makes you forget that you are in Bangkok is a noisy city. Indeed, this exotic pool is very relaxing after days of sightseeing or shopping in Bangkok. I'd like to take this opportunity to thank the front manager Mr Shigehro Yoshid for his warm welcome and kindness ,he did everything he could to make our stay as pleasant as possible. First of all, I recommend to book an Executive Suite with access to the Club Lounge. The suites are very large and comfortable with a beautiful view of the river. The CLUB Lounge has a breathtaking view of the river serving delicious breakfast and evening drinks and appetizers The evening team are exceptionally kind and professional, and I'd like to take this opportunity to thank some of them. Sheraton is always a nice hotel or resort and always at the great location, this one is awesome location and facilities. However, we had a little bit of disappointment on the safety and the cleanliness of the room this time. First of all, the toilet is missing the plastic mattress to avoid the slippery in the bathtub, normally it will be prepared in the bathroom anyway and when my kid fell down in the bathtub, i noticed that the plastic was not there. Although they sent us the flower and drawing to my kid, but accident already happened. Second, the bedsheet was not cleaned well and pretty old to have the stain still which i was surprised. At last, the service of front desk is pretty quick, especially the captain / manager of concierge & Front Desk and the experienced check in staff. The FD manager was very helpful and informative to us. However, the bellmen need to be more sensitive to all the guests for handling the doors open or luggage carrying. We had great experience overall and my kid enjoyed the hotel and surrounding of the hotel as well.

Ik was een beetje bang omdat sommige reviews wat tegenvielen. Dat was niet nodig. Onze kamer was ruim met een FANTASTISCH uitzicht. We hebben intens genoten van ons verblijf! Een van de twee zwembaden kon je tot 22u gebruiken, heerlijk om even af te koelen met zicht op de rivier en de gebouwen.
